I. Different Types of Plastic Materials

PP is a high-molecular-weight polymer made from polypropylene. It is a non-toxic, harmless, odorless plastic with good heat resistance, decent cold resistance, and excellent chemical stability. It does not undergo significant chemical changes when exposed to strong acids or alkalis.

3.PE



PE: Polyethylene. The material is generally opaque, softer in texture, and not as smooth as PET.

3. PET



PET is polyethylene terephthalate, a thermoplastic polyester. It has a smooth, glossy surface, is resistant to friction, has good dimensional stability, and high hardness. However, it is not resistant to hot water immersion or alkali. It is an environmentally friendly material with high barrier properties, lightweight, shatter-resistant, chemical-resistant, and extremely transparent. It can be made into pearlescent, colored, magnetic white, or transparent finishes and is widely used in gel water packaging.








Features: PET has high transparency, the bottle body has some flexibility, can be indented but is harder than PP.



4. PETG



PETG has better transparency than PET, but it is not commonly used in China due to its high cost, high waste rate, and inability to be recycled. Compared to PET, PETG has higher transparency, better chemical resistance, superior oil resistance, and better weather resistance (yellowing resistance) than PET. Printing: Screen printing uses regular ink or UV ink. UV ink offers better results with a glossy and three-dimensional effect. Color confirmation should be done via a sample during production, as screen printing effects may vary across different materials.



Hot stamping: Hot stamping processes like gold and silver stamping differ from printing gold or silver powder in terms of effect. Hard materials and smooth surfaces are more suitable for gold and silver stamping, while soft surfaces may result in poor adhesion and peeling. Hot stamping offers better gloss than printed gold or silver.

1. Bottle Surface Tension: The surface tension of the bottle affects the ink's durability after printing. Generally, the surface tension of the material should reach 50 dyn/cm to ensure that the ink does not readily rub off. If surface treatments such as corona treatment or flame treatment are not desired, products with a higher polarity can be printed directly or with an appropriate ink.



2. Ink Selection: To ensure ink durability on the bottle, select the appropriate ink for the bottle material. Different types and colors of inks have different adhesion to different bottle surfaces.
